new to NEW HOPE?

Birthed on Mother's Day 1999, New Hope Christian Fellowship aspires to help its members in their journey as students or disciples of Jesus.  We are aware that it had been three years before Jesus asked his closest friends who they thought he was.  Each day, our journey with Jesus continues from where we are.  No matter where you consider your starting point today, our hope is to go farther together.  We invite you to join us.

What We believe

New Hope Christian Fellowship is a member of Foursquare International.

The following are core tenants of our faith.

The Holy Scriptures

We believe the Bible

is God-Inspired.

(2 Tim 3:16-17)

The Eternal Godhead

We believe God is relationally Triune: Father, Son,

and Holy Spirit.

(2 Cor. 13:14)

The Fall of Man

We believe that man was created in the image of God, but in rebellion against God’s provision and disobedience he fell into brokenness.

(Rom. 5:12)

The Plan of Salvation

We believe that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us, and assumed the consequence of the sin of all man-kind.  (Rom. 5:8)

Salvation Through Faith in Grace

We believe that we have no health or righteousness in ourselves, but place our faith in the work of Jesus on the cross.  (Eph. 2:8)

Repentance and Acceptance

We believe in the confession of our need for Christ’s work, taking his life as our own; we are adopted into God’s family.

  (1 John 1:9, Eph. 1: 3-6,

Rom. 8: 1-4)

The New Birth

We believe that the change which takes place in the heart and life at conversion is a very real one.

(2 Cor. 5:17, Gal 2:20)

Daily Christian Life

We believe that it is the will of God that we grow as disciples and students of Jesus in every aspect of our lives.

(Matt 28:18-20)

Baptism and the Lord’s Supper

We practice baptism by immersion is an outward sign of an inward work.  (1 Cor 12:13)  We believe in the commemoration of the Lord’s Supper by the symbolic use of the bread and juice of the vine. (1 Cor. 11:24-25)

Baptism of the Holy Spirit

We believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is to endue the believer with power, and that His present indwelling is in the same manner as described in the book of Acts.

(Matt. 3:11)

THE GIFTS AND FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT

We believe the Holy Spirit gives gifts to every Christian for the edification of the church body and that the fruits of the Spirit are evidence of a Spirit-filled life.

 (1 Cor. 12:1-11, Gal. 5:22)

Divine Healing

We believe that divine healing is the answer to the prayer of faith in the power of Christ to heal the sick.

(James 5:14-16)

The Second Coming of Jesus

We believe that the Second Coming of Christ is personal and imminent.

(1 Thess 4:16-17)

Church relationship with the world

We believe it is our responsibility  and office to be the visible church of Jesus Christ in the world.

(Acts 1:8)

Civil Government

We believe that rulers should be upheld at all times except in things opposed to the will of God.

(Rom. 13: 1-5)

The Final Judgment

We believe that all shall stand some day before the judgment seat of God.

(2 Cor. 5: 10)

Heaven

We believe heaven is the glorious eternal home for all who have placed their faith in the work of Jesus on the cross.

(John 14:1-3)

Hell

We believe hell is separation from God for all who reject the work of Jesus' salvation on the cross.

(Rev. 20:10,15)

Evangelism

We believe we are commissioned by Jesus to go to all the nations and make disciples of Jesus who obey all his commands.

(Matt 28:18-20)

Section Title

We believe the method God has ordained for the support and spread of his work is through giving tithes and offerings.

(2 Cor. 9: 6-8)
