Aaron and Kim first met on a short-term, summer mission trip to India with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship in 1991. Neither realized this would lead to a life in ministry together. Two years later they married and moved to Tucson where Kim taught elementary music while Aaron worked on finishing his degree in Religious Studies at the University of Arizona. Upon Aaron’s graduation, both felt led by God to join the work of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, and were invited to serve at the University of Montana in Missoula.
Their first direct exposure to Missoula came from the cab of their moving truck as they arrived in 1996, and Missoula quickly became home. Celebrating the four seasons and drinking good coffee are two of many reasons why they love the Northwest. Their thirteen years serving and loving students at University of Montana were formative ones as each learned more about God’s love, God's Word, and God's purposes in this world.
January of 2009, after being members of New Hope for over four years, Aaron and Kim were invited to assume the Senior Pastor position. Their commitment is to lead the grace-filled community of New Hope in worship of God and participation in Jesus' ongoing mission of love and life to our city of Missoula and the world.
Aaron and Kim have two children, Jack and Sienna
